Our story

The Silo That Started It All

Painting of a prairie dairy farm with a big blue silo, red barns and golden fields under a bright sky

Long before Silo 67, there was a big blue silo on our grandparents’ dairy farm in Manitoba.

Growing up on the prairies, it was a landmark we knew by heart. When that blue silo appeared in the distance, we knew we were getting close to grand-mère and grand-père’s.

It was a place where we learned what hard work looked like. Showing up, helping out, taking pride in what you do, and knowing that a long day would always end around the table. Grand-mère has a way of turning whatever she has on hand into the kind of dinner and dessert you still think about years later.

Nothing fussy, just great food made with love. That same idea became part of what we wanted Silo 67 to be, a place where good food, family and the feeling of sitting down after a long day all come together.

When it came time to name this restaurant, that silo felt like the perfect piece of our story to carry forward.

It reminds us where we came from, what we were taught, and the kind of place we hope Silo 67 to be. A place built on hard work, filled with good food, and made to feel a little bit like home.
